Terms of service

1. The agreement

These terms apply when you create or use an mdflows organization. If you accept them for an organization, you confirm you may bind it. A signed order form or enterprise agreement, where one exists, takes precedence.

2. Your organization and accounts

The person who creates an organization is its owner and controls who else has access. Keep sign-in details confidential, use two-factor authentication where you can, and tell us promptly about any unauthorized access.

3. Free trial

A new organization gets a 30-day free trial with every feature on, without a payment method. When it ends, new activity pauses until a plan is chosen; nothing is deleted at that point. We may limit repeated trials.

4. Plans and fees

Plans are priced per organization, monthly or yearly, as shown on the pricing page, before applicable taxes. Paid periods are billed in advance and renew until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep access through the end of the period you paid for; partial periods are not refunded unless the law requires it. We will give at least 30 days’ notice before a price change applies to you.

5. Your content

You own the content you and the people you invite put into mdflows. You give us the limited permission needed to host, process, transmit and display it to provide the service. You are responsible for having the right to collect it and for any notices and consents it requires.

6. Acceptable use

• No unlawful, deceptive or harmful use — including phishing, impersonation, spam, or collecting credentials under false pretenses.
• No malware, and no attempts to probe, overload or break the service or other organizations’ data.
• No payment card numbers or HIPAA-protected health information unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

7. Electronic signatures

mdflows records signatures with intent, consent and attribution evidence. You decide whether an electronic signature suits a given document and jurisdiction; some documents require other formalities.

8. Availability and support

We work to keep mdflows available and your data safe, and we provide support by email at help@mdflows.com. Unless a separate agreement says otherwise, the service does not come with a guaranteed uptime commitment.

9. Suspension and ending

We may suspend an organization that breaks these terms or puts the service or others at risk, with notice where practical. You may leave at any time. After cancellation you can export your data during the rest of your paid period; an organization’s owner can also ask us to delete it.

10. Confidentiality and security

We treat your content as confidential and protect it as described in the security overview; our handling of personal information is described in the privacy policy.

11. Warranties and liability

Apart from what these terms promise, the service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, neither side is liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the fees your organization paid in the twelve months before the claim.

12. Changes and law

We may update these terms and will give notice of material changes before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where Markdown Consulting has its principal place of business.
